Welcome

Welcome to my first blog on my brand new website! It’s taken awhile to get here but it was definitely worth all of the hard work!

Mummy and Constance
So I think my first blog should be to introduce you to my delicious daughter Constance, who has enriched my life beyond all my expectations.

I have been looking after other Mummies (and Daddies) for so many years and everyone used to say ‘don’t you want a family of your own?’ and the answer has always been…a huge YES!

I’ve always adored babies and little ones. Being an Aunty and Godmother has been wonderful, but I’ve always longed to be a Mummy.

I would get trolled online for not being a mum, because how could I know anything about babies if I wasn’t a mum myself. How could I possibly understand the struggles and stress, or the high and lows if I wasn’t a Mum.

Those comments caused me a lot of distress. I’d spent many years training and working with families to help them and try and make a difference. But apparently that wasn’t enough for some people.

I’d never found the right person to settle down with as I had spent years travelling around the World having a fabulous time, but my time to be a mummy was running out.

I met my Husband just as I’d almost given up hope. We both wanted children and so we started the journey to become parents. It was a long one, but we never gave up, even after 6 IVF Cycles, 2 miscarriages, and countless treatments, this was to be our last cycle.

At Cycle number 7 (coincidentally my lucky number) saw our babies heartbeat at 8 weeks, heard the heartbeat at 13 weeks and saw her during the scans at 16, 20 and 28 weeks.

I really started to believe I was actually going to be a mum!

Our baby was born early at 36 weeks 4 days via C-section.

My beautiful, perfect tiny little girl weighed in at 4lb 3oz…and I was finally a MUM!

Constance was in NICU for 15 days and I was in hospital myself (fortunately just down the corridor from Constance) for 8 days as I had high blood pressure. But against all odds she was here…our was our miracle baby.

So began this new life of nurturing this perfect human being.

Here is Constance Violet-Sofia now aged 18 months and above is a photo of when she was in NICU.

I will continue to share our journey as a family and if you have any questions about my fertility journey I will be more than happy to speak to you.

I am also here to help you via email, phone and video calls should you need my advice.
